The first Ford retailer to have a Wellhouse Ford Terrier, the award-winning Campervan of the Year 2014, in its showroom is Bridgend Ford in mid-Glamorgan, south Wales.

A total of 16 Ford retailers will be selling the new Wellhouse Ford Terrier, the first UK campervan conversion based on the new Ford Transit Custom Kombi, and will have demonstrators arriving in their showrooms during October and November.

To mark the delivery of the first Terrier to a Ford showroom, David Elliott, managing director of Wellhouse Leisure, personally delivered the vehicle himself and proudly handed the keys to Gary Pesticcio, managing director of Bridgend Ford, who has already ordered three more.

The Wellhouse Ford Terrier in Bridgend Ford’s showroom is a bright red Sport model in Rosso special edition trim with colour-coordinated interior furniture and leather upholstery.

The Terrier is available in three specifications – S, SE and Sport – with on the road prices ranging from £39,500 to £46,500. The Transit Custom base vehicle enjoys a higher standard specification than key, popular rivals, while the campervan conversion offers five seats and a sliding rear seat system to give it the flexibility of maximum storage or living space. This luxury and versatility makes it perfect as an everyday car during the week and a home from home for weekends away, or for active hobbies, days out, or longer continental adventures.

Commenting on the arrival of his first Wellhouse Ford Terrier in his showroom, Gary Pesticcio, managing director at Bridgend Ford said: “I’m really impressed with the high quality of this conversion by Wellhouse Leisure and delighted to be able to offer such a cool campervan to my customers. We’ve already had an amazing reaction to the Terrier in our showroom and we’re sure it’s going to be a great success for us.”

David Elliott, managing director of Wellhouse Leisure added: “We are delighted that so many Ford retailers across the UK will soon have a Terrier in their showrooms. This makes it more accessible to the public and ensures it is also presented in a professional, consumer-focused environment.”

“As a leading UK campervan converter, we knew the new Ford Transit Custom would make a great campervan as soon as we saw it and, sure enough, our Terrier has been an instant hit since its launch in October 2013; in fact, we have recently had to invest in additional facilities and recruit 10 new people to help increase production to keep up with demand,” he continued.

Bridgend Ford is open seven days a week, and anyone interested in seeing the Wellhouse Ford Terrier in the showroom should contact Gary Lewis or Rose Francis on 01656 300100 or 0844 243 5825. Full details of opening hours and how to find them are available at www.bridgendford.co.uk.
